Counting your blessings is important. We should be grateful for all the things we have been given, but to be grateful in the right way it could be a good idea to imagine you lost everything you have. You need to read this article, and follow the instructions to get the full benefit of all of this.
The three steps are these:
Tsunami
Lose everything
Realize how life would be without all of this
Be grateful as you think of all the things you still have
Lose everything
You must now imagine that you lose everything. Your partner leaves, your kids are gone, your house burnt down, your car stolen and burnt. You have nothing except for the clothes on your body. You know you had a few dollars in yoiur pocket, but to your great regret you discover holes in your pockets.
You have nothing!
Everything has disappeared. You're out of a job, you have no internet, no photos of your kids, no means of transportation whatsoever. Even you mobile phone is out of power, and you obviously have no recharger anymore.
Realize how life would be without all of this
Face the music. Ponder the situation. What can you do? What would you do?
Close your eyes, and imagine this type of scenario.
What is your state of mind in the midst of this? Total despair, or even just a little bit of hope?
Before you deny this as pure imagination, think of people who have experienced this. People who lost their homes during the Tsunami or earthquake or floods in the United States. This could happen.
Be thankful when you have all the things I still think
Now is the time to be thankful for is that it did not happen. They appreciate every thing back to you. Your partner, your children, your memories, etc.
Show your appreciation for all the people around you. Express your gratitude. Even the smallest details are worthy of your appreciation.
How can this
